Our mission is to provide local, on Country activities that promote cultural and environmental awareness, enhance social skills, build relationships, and pave the way for future employment opportunities for young people.
South Cape York Catchments engages the youth of Cooktown and Cape York in a range of environmental and cultural activities under the guidance and with the support of dedicated mentors. Gaining strong on ground skills, social skills and experience, the youth involved in this program are given opportunities to better understand our local environment through work opportunities and recreational activities.
